How Booking Works
Booking as an international visitor is straightforward, and you do not need to speak German — the whole process is in English.
- Pick your date from the schedule above — use the month filter to narrow it to your stay.
- Choose your category and we reserve the best available places within it.
- Check out securely — pay by card in a few minutes; our service fee is included and the full total is shown before you confirm. Your booking is confirmed at purchase; the tickets themselves are issued in the week before the concert.
- Collect your tickets from our office directly opposite the State Opera on the day of the concert or one day prior — then allow time to travel out to Döbling, north of the centre. Where e-tickets are available for your event, we’ll send them by email instead.

The House of Strauss
The House of Strauss occupies the Gartenpalais Zögernitz in Döbling, north of the centre — a nineteenth-century entertainment palace whose concert hall dates from 1837. The venue describes it as the last surviving original Strauss concert hall: a room in which all four composers of the dynasty — Johann Strauss father and son, Josef and Eduard — performed. Restored and reopened as a museum and concert venue, it has been featured by The New York Times in its Vienna coverage.
Getting There & Visiting
The House of Strauss is at Döblinger Hauptstrasse 76, 1190 Vienna.
- U-Bahn: the nearest underground station is Spittelau (U4, U6).
- By taxi: a short ride from the centre; allow extra time on concert evenings.
There is no enforced dress code: smart casual is fine, and many guests dress up a little for the evening.
