Wiener Hofmusikkapelle

The Wiener Hofmusikkapelle (Vienna Court Music Chapel) is a historic musical institution founded in
1498, continuing a centuries-old tradition of sacred music performance at the Hofburgkapelle within Vienna’s
Imperial Palace.

This prestigious ensemble comprises the Vienna Boys’ Choir (Wiener Sängerknaben), the male chorus
and orchestra members from the Vienna State Opera, and the Choralschola of the Hofburgkapelle. Together, they perform
traditional Sunday Masses and special concerts, presenting the finest works of sacred classical music by Mozart, Schubert,
Haydn, and other masters.

For over 500 years, the Hofmusikkapelle has served Austrian emperors and the public, maintaining Vienna’s imperial musical
heritage as one of the world’s most significant cultural institutions.
